About Red Fez Books
I first stepped on a skateboard aged fifty-one and kind of got addicted. Amazed by the whole creative community that surrounds skateboarding, I began to write, draw and publish stuff about it. I published SkatePal, a recipe book inspired by my short time as a volunteer with SkatePal, back in 2018 which sold well. A pal suggested I start to publish other people's material, so I did.

A cultural and edible journey into skateboarding, smorgasBOARD documents my journey into a fascinating new world which I began six years ago at age fifty one. Inspired by this new creative milieux which opened up to me the moment I first stepped on a board, I travelled to Palestine as a volunteer with SkatePal, as an observer to Taghazout in Morocco and all around the UK in search of the perfect pool.
